So many new comrades in arts (hee hee)! I'm having a grand time hearing from you all. I do hope you keep visiting!

I am not adept at sketching, but I have found it soothing...especially when something decent appears on the paper! For this ATC I scrunched up red gift tissue paper, then glued it onto a card and rubbed a gold stamp pad across the surface for some highlights. I inked the black around the edges for a finish and outlined the picture, too.

Don't look too close at the background in this ATC - it'll make your eyes go buggy. I used the wax technique to make the text translucent. I painted the letters with Lumiere paint, I highly recommend picking up a jar - it is so sparkly pretty.

A couple of reminders: If there is anyone in the Sacramento area interested in joining a swap group, please contact me. I met with Cheryl Ford today and had a lovely time talking shop. I so enjoyed browsing her ATC album and would love to meet others with the same interest.

The landscape-theme challenge is almost over. Let me know if you've posted a completed ATC on your site!

Hi steff, I have to try the was technique, it looks so very great, just have to find some pellets here.
And your picture ATC is having an interesting background too, love your sketching.

Hey Steff,
I do like your ATCs, your sketching is great, I first thought it was a stamp or a cutout. To be honest, I thought it was Marilyn Monroe : )
Hugs.

Love these ATC's. Wish I could find some like-minded artists in my area. Enjoy those you do meet as will I. I'll definitely be back to visit again. I hope to take some time to play with art this week and get it posted to my blog.

Have a great week!

Tomorrow we (I´m a DT-member) have a new challenge over at the norwegian atc blog Art Pieces
I would really appreciate if you want to join and share your fab work with us :)

Hugs, Gry-Heidi
