New Line!

I'm excited to announce a new line of flowers in the shop:

Felties!*

I'm putting the raw wool that I made into felt, to use. Some have vintage jewelry pieces, making them totally OOAK. I'll be adding them over the next day or two.

This is a limited line! I don't plan on making felt regularly (it's a lot of work!). Once they are gone, they are gone! Click here to check them out!

*(yes, I know that's TMed, but I'm borrowing it for a bit!).

Mix and match

One of my FAVORITE wardrobe pieces to wear is a blazer jacket (okay, jackets, boots and purses all get me excited). I can't buy every cute jacket I see, but I can dream! Here I've matched some funky blazers with flowers from my shop that I think would look cute tucked near the collar or pinned on the lapel.

This gold velvet piece would look smashing

with this simple sage green flower with tiger's eye bead center:

And this chocolate colored blazer:
which I would match with this new hunter green blossom with vintage button:
This dusty purple corduroy jacket would would look great paired with:

these ruffly gold flowers. I love the grunge with the girly look.

And this sweet little cropped gray jacket:
would look oh so feminine with this life-like pink rose:

And a smart looking tuxedo-inspired jacket would get the right punch with

this red flower and leaf pin:

There! My fashion addiction is satiated for the moment! And I didn't spend a dime!

How about you? What are your favorite accessories and wardrobe pieces you like to pair?

Customer Pictures!!

Rowena on the far left is wearing a black crepe satin flower strap I custom made for her.

I love customer photos!! Does this look like a beautiful wedding or what?

Have a great weekend!

Remember that felt I made?

Here's what I did with it:

A case for my Nookie . . . er, Nook.

There's a magnetic closure under the flower, which is made out of leather and a vintage button.

There was lots of trial and error along the way, and I had to relearn the blanket stitch, but I'm very happy with how it turned out!

Now I'm off to felt some more wool!

I'll Fall for You

I adore reds and golds, as you can see from the art work I have on my walls:

There is warmth and passion in these colors. That's why fall weddings are so attractive to me - all those deep, brilliant colors set against white, like this gorgeous bouquet:

Talk about eye-catching! And how fun is this bicycle for the married couple?

One of the great things about fall decorating is that mother nature has already taken care of it for you. In a setting like this, what more do you need?

And of course, the perfect flower go with the season:

Happy fall, y'all!
