Here's what I did with it:

A case for my Nookie . . . er, Nook.

There's a magnetic closure under the flower, which is made out of leather and a vintage button.

There was lots of trial and error along the way, and I had to relearn the blanket stitch, but I'm very happy with how it turned out!
Now I'm off to felt some more wool!
